What source review means
The desk checks whether material factual claims are supported by the cited authority, whether insurance and mortgage terms are used consistently, and whether commercial context or important limitations are clear to a reasonable reader.
Source hierarchy
We prefer insurance regulators, federal agencies, official mortgage-program guidance, policy documents, and first-party public data. Where a primary source is available, a search result, affiliate article, or anonymous summary is not treated as a substitute.
What source review does not mean
It is not a personalized suitability review, legal opinion, tax opinion, underwriting decision, or promise that a particular policy is available. A named licensed reviewer will be displayed only after that person's identity and current credentials have been verified.
Research integrity
Original studies publish definitions, calculations, source files, and limitations. We distinguish housing-cost exposure from life-insurance ownership because Census housing tables do not measure whether a household has adequate life insurance.
